I am currently an adjunct professor and doing a post-doctorate at the Universite du Sud - Toulon, Var in the South of France. I am part of the LSIS laboratory and a member of the DYNI team led by Prof. Herve Glotin. I received my PhD from the Electrical Engineering department at Columbia University in New York under the supervision of Professor Dan Ellis, the head of LabROSA.
My main research interest is in deep Artificial Intelligence for computer vision tasks and the application of advanced audio analysis techniques and machine learning methods towards marine mammal signal recognition and biomimetics.
